MyIntealth Identification Number

A MyIntealth account is required to apply for any of our services, including ECFMG Certification. Applicants will be issued a MyIntealth Identification Number (ID) once they establish their MyIntealth account and should always provide their MyIntealth ID when contacting us for assistance.

Once you have a MyIntealth account, you can begin or continue your pursuit of ECFMG Certification.

  • New Applicants. If you never used ECFMG’s former Online Services (for example, IWA or OASIS), you must establish a MyIntealth account before requesting services related to ECFMG Certification. You must complete our identity verification process to fully establish your MyIntealth account and receive your MyIntealth ID.
  • Existing Applicants. If you used ECFMG’s former Online Services (for example, IWA or OASIS), your account information has been transferred to MyIntealth. Due to changes in the processes for requesting some services, applicants may be required to repeat certain parts of an application/request process, such as resubmitting medical education credentials or completing our identity verification process. When you log into MyIntealth, you will have the opportunity to complete any steps required to access our services.

To establish your MyIntealth account and obtain a MyIntealth ID, you must provide certain information, including your name as it appears on your current, unexpired passport; date of birth; address of residence; and medical school information, and complete our identity verification process.

You will only be assigned one MyIntealth ID. Your MyIntealth ID cannot be changed. Obtaining or attempting to obtain a MyIntealth ID after one has been assigned to you may result in a finding of irregular behavior. See Policies and Procedures Regarding Irregular Behavior.

If you forget or lose your MyIntealth ID, you can obtain it by logging into MyIntealth. To protect the privacy of applicants, we will not provide MyIntealth IDs by telephone.

USMLE Identification Number

Effective with the USMLE Service Transition in January 2026, FSMB issues the USMLE ID to IMGs when they register for their first USMLE Step exam. Refer to FSMB for more information. If you were previously issued a USMLE ID by ECFMG prior to the transition, that ID number remains valid. You can view your USMLE ID in the My Profile section of MyIntealth.

As part of the request to establish a MyIntealth account, you will be asked if you previously submitted an Application for ECFMG Certification and/or an application to ECFMG for examination. You must answer “Yes” to the question, even if you submitted the prior application under a different name or prior to the transition to MyIntealth, or did not take the exam for which you applied, and enter the USMLE ID, if you know it. You must answer “Yes” regardless of whether you submitted an online application or a paper application. If you have submitted an application to ECFMG but indicate that you have not applied previously, this may result in a finding of irregular behavior and permanent annotation of your record.
